Steelhone: a website for my own separate business
An independently developed website for my own consultancy business, Steelhone. The project involved developing a professional online presence, structuring complex service offerings and creating a clear journey for prospective business customers.
Steelhone is my own separate business, not a client. It's in this portfolio to show website design and development. Denny Digital only builds websites, and doesn't offer Steelhone's consultancy services.

// Business context
A very different customer from a local trade
Steelhone sells a technical, fixed-price service to finance and IT leads at UK businesses. Those visitors read carefully, compare suppliers and need to understand exactly what they'd be paying for before they book a call.
So the website couldn't look like a trade site, and it couldn't look like this one. It needed its own identity, and a structure that makes a complicated offer easy to follow.
// Objectives
What the website needed to do
- Present a credible, independent business to a B2B audience.
- Explain a complex offer clearly, with a fixed starting point and a price.
- Let visitors try before they talk, with something useful they can do on the site.
- Turn interest into a booked call, with an obvious next step on every page.
// Design approach
Quiet, type-led and specific
The design uses a serif headline face, a calm dark palette and plenty of space, so it reads like a considered professional service rather than a sales page. The first screen says exactly what the business does and what it costs to start.
Instead of a list of claims, the homepage shows a sample of the actual deliverable: an interactive preview of the report, clearly marked as sample figures. Visitors see what they'd get before they're asked to do anything.
// Key features
What I designed and built
Brand and structure
- Its own brand: name, logo, colours and type made to fit the audience
- Information architecture that takes a complex offer one step at a time
- Service page structure with scope and price stated plainly
Interactive features
- An interactive sample report on the homepage
- A free self-assessment that scores a setup in 10 questions, entirely in the browser
- Results saved as a PDF, laid out like a page from the paid report
Lead generation and search
- A clear journey from first visit to self-assessment to booked call
- Its own domain, with the .co.uk redirecting to the .com
- Search-ready: sitemap, share images and structured data from day one

// Purpose
What it shows
Steelhone shows the other end of what I build: a business website for a professional, B2B audience, with its own brand, a carefully structured offer and interactive features that do real work. The same approach suits any business with a more involved service to explain.
